My wife and I are fearless DIY travelers! We love researching destinations, watching travel videos, and figuring out how to get from Point A to Point B on our own. We plan carefully but always leave room for the unexpected—that’s part of the adventure. We prefer to travel economically rather than luxuriously. We’re perfectly happy packing small, traveling light, using public transportation, and experiencing a destination more like locals. So far, Italy is the only country we’ve explored together—and we absolutely fell in love with it. Honestly, if we could, we’d live there!

It was our first trip abroad. We started in Naples, then to the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento. Next on to Florence and rounded it out in Rome. We saw so many beautiful sights and still have so much to see! We made mistakes and learned a lot from that trip. We love Italy because of their very well organized public transportation. Never be afraid to go on your own!

Our 2nd trip we decided to slow things down and base ourself in one city, Florence, Italy. We saw the main attractions on the first trip but there’s SO much to see! This trip we stayed smart. We found an Air BnB directly across from the train station. We only had one tour booked it was a day trip into Tuscany where we would stop for photo ops! It was a perfect trip!
