Working with clients

How to onboard a client

From first message to a signed-off itinerary, step by step.

1. Send an onboarding link

From Dashboard, generate a client onboarding link and send it to your client. They fill in trip basics themselves, which becomes a plan attached to you. The link expires, so send it when they are ready to use it.

2. Get the five facts

Before you search anything, confirm:

  • Home airport and exact dates (or a flexible window).
  • Party size and ages.
  • Total budget and what it must cover.
  • One thing they refuse to compromise on.
  • One thing they do not care about.

3. Draft, do not improvise

Use Marlow to draft, then replace anything you would not personally book. Never send an itinerary containing a price you have not seen in a live search.

4. Confirm in writing

Send the itinerary in the trip workspace and ask for an explicit yes before booking. The itinerary version history is your record.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Travelers who plan on their own become leads that any advisor can claim, but an onboarding link keeps the client attached to you.

Follow up twice, three days apart, then mark the trip inactive. Keep the workspace so you can pick it up if they return.

Still stuck? Email support@tripdash.net and a person will get back to you.
