Getting paid: the payment handshake

How a traveler reports payment, how you confirm it, and when a trip can be Wrapped.

Payment is a two-sided handshake, so neither party can quietly change the record.

  1. You issue the invoice. The traveler sees it in their Billing tab, which is always unlocked.
  2. They pay by whatever method you agreed and click the paid button, entering the date, method, reference and optional proof.
  3. The invoice shows as under review on your side, highlighted in the list.
  4. You confirm payment received once the money is actually in your account.

If the client paid by cash or wire and never logged it, use Mark paid manually and record the real date.
