How advisor commission works

Travel suppliers — hotels, tour operators, cruise lines, DMCs — pay a commission on completed bookings. That commission is typically 7-30% of the trip cost, depending on the supplier and product type. It is paid to the agency of record, which is where Tripdash sits.

Tripdash passes 80%+ of that supplier commission through to you and keeps 20% as the platform share. The split is the same across booking types: hotels, tours, activities, cruises and packages. Nothing about the split changes with volume tiers, certifications or recruiting.

Worked example: a $3,000 booking

Take a $3,000 hotel-and-tour package at a 12% supplier commission:

StepAmount
Trip cost$3,000
Supplier commission (12%)$360
Your share (80%)$288
Tripdash share (20%)$72

Change the supplier rate and the maths scales directly. At the low end of the range (7%) the same trip pays $210 in commission and $168 to you. At the high end (30%) it pays $900 and $720 to you. Supplier commission rates are set by the supplier, not by Tripdash, so the exact percentage varies by booking.

What you pay

Your only cost is the Tripdash subscription. Current prices are shown live above — they are pulled from our billing system, not typed into this page, so what you read here is what checkout charges.

Everything in the platform is included in that subscription: IATA-level training and Tripdash certification, supplier access, E&O insurance, Marlow AI trip planning, flight, hotel and excursion search, invoicing, payment collection and commission tracking.

How this compares

Most host agencies advertise a 70% split as standard, and many layer on transaction or annual agency fees on top. Our comparison pages break the numbers down side by side:

When you get paid

Commission is paid by the supplier after the traveler completes the trip, which is standard across the industry. Tripdash tracks each booking's expected commission in your dashboard and releases your share to your payout account once the supplier settles.

No. The 80%+ split applies across hotels, tours, activities, cruises and packages. What changes is the supplier's own commission rate, which is set by the supplier and typically falls between 7% and 30% of trip cost.

No. The subscription and the 20% platform share of supplier commission are the only two ways Tripdash makes money from an advisor. Nothing else is charged.

Suppliers pay commission after the traveler completes the trip, which is industry standard. Tripdash tracks expected commission per booking and releases your share to your payout account once the supplier settles.
